Clocktower 125th Anniversary Celebrations Events
About the Event
On May 24th, our historic Clocktower turns 125 years old. To celebrate, we will be hosting an exhibition of historical photos and facts along the Clocktower walls, showcasing different time periods in history. The exhibition will commence on the 19th May, and the photos will remain in place for the rest of 2025.
On May 24th, the anniversary itself, local historian Janine Tanner will be exhibiting plans of the old Victoria station and the Clocktower, along with archived photos and footage. Come along and learn about an important piece of Nottingham's history! Find her located near the Clocktower. If you miss out this time, don't worry, Janine will be returning on the 31st May - 6th June, with even more archived photos, and exhibition of historical media in our South Square.
To continue the celebrations, we will be hosting a Clocktower colouring competition in our South Square from the 28th - 30th May, where children can colour in their own Clocktower colouring sheet, and post them into the box provided to win fun prizes. Full competition information here.
Join us to celebrate Victoria Centre's vibrant history!
