Victoria Centre Student Ambassador Programme

Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter
The promoter of the Victoria Centre Student Ambassador Programme (“Programme”) is Victoria Centre Nottingham (“Victoria Centre” or “the Promoter”).


2. Eligibility

To apply, entrants must:

  • Be aged 18 years or over at the date of application.
  • Be currently studying at a university or college in Nottingham.
  • Be based in Nottingham and available during November and December 2026.
  • Be able to attend Victoria Centre for two shopping and content creation visits.
  • Be comfortable appearing on camera and creating social media content.

Employees of Victoria Centre, its agencies, contractors, affiliates and immediate family members are not eligible to apply.


3. How to Enter

  1. Applicants must complete the official application form in full.
  2. Applicants must submit:
    • Their contact details;
    • Information relating to their studies;
    • Links to any relevant social media accounts;
    • A 60-90 second video introducing themselves and explaining why they would be suitable for the Programme.
  3. Videos to be uploaded directly to the link provided on the website.
  4. Applications must be received by 11:59pm on 29 October 2026.
  5. Late, incomplete or inaccessible submissions may not be considered.
  6. By entering, applicants confirm that all information provided is accurate and that any submitted content is their own original work.

4. Selection Process

  1. Applications will be assessed by representatives of Victoria Centre and its appointed marketing agency.
  2. Applications will be reviewed based on:
    • Creativity;
    • Personality and presentation;
    • Relevance to the student audience;
    • Quality of content;
    • Alignment with the Victoria Centre brand.
  3. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to participate in a video call or discussion before final selections are made.
  4. Victoria Centre’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

5. Ambassador Appointment

  1. Up to two Student Ambassadors will be selected.
  2. Selected Ambassadors will be required to:
    • Attend two shopping and content creation visits at Victoria Centre;
    • Create agreed social-first content following an approved brief;
    • Submit draft content by agreed deadlines;
    • Make reasonable amendments requested by Victoria Centre;
    • Supply final content files in the requested format.
  3. Successful Ambassadors will receive a £75 Victoria Centre gift card for each approved shopping and filming visit, up to a total value of £150.

Gift cards are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.


6. Content Requirements

Selected Ambassadors may be required to provide content including, but not limited to:

  • Instagram Reels;
  • TikTok-style videos;
  • Photography;
  • Instagram Stories;
  • Behind-the-scenes footage.

All content concepts must be approved by Victoria Centre before filming and publication.


7. Intellectual Property, Content Ownership and Usage Rights

Important: By applying to the Programme, applicants expressly grant the rights set out in this section.

Application Videos

  1. By submitting an application video, entrants grant Victoria Centre a worldwide, royalty-free licence to view, store, review and share the video internally with its marketing teams, agencies and selection panel for the purpose of administering the Programme.
  2. Application videos will be retained for the duration set out in Section 10 (Data Retention).

Ambassador Content

  1. As consideration for participating in the Programme and receiving the gift cards, successful Ambassadors assign to Victoria Centre all intellectual property rights in the content produced as part of the Programme, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  2. Ambassadors agree that Victoria Centre shall own all approved content created under the Programme, including all footage, photographs, video files, edits, captions, graphics and derivative works.

Usage Rights

Successful Ambassadors grant Victoria Centre the unrestricted right to:

  • Use, publish, reproduce, edit, crop, adapt and modify the content;
  • Use the content across social media, websites, email marketing, advertising, digital screens, printed materials, PR activity and promotional campaigns;
  • Use the content in both organic and paid advertising;
  • Share the content with appointed agencies, media partners and service providers for campaign delivery;
  • Use excerpts, still images and alternative edits created from the original footage.

Usage Period

Victoria Centre may retain and use all final content, footage and associated assets for a period of 12 months from the date the content is first supplied or approved by Victoria Centre.

During this period, Ambassadors acknowledge and agree that:

  • Content may continue to appear in scheduled, ongoing or archived marketing activity;
  • Victoria Centre is not required to remove content from previously published materials or campaigns before the expiry of the 12-month period;
  • Content may be copied, backed up and stored within Victoria Centre’s systems and those of its agencies for operational, evidential and compliance purposes.

After the 12-month usage period, Victoria Centre may continue to retain the content where reasonably necessary for legal, archival, compliance, record-keeping or evidential purposes.


8. Name, Image and Likeness Rights

Successful Ambassadors grant Victoria Centre permission to use their:

  • Name;
  • Image;
  • Voice;
  • Social media handle;
  • Biographical information supplied as part of the Programme;

in connection with publicity, marketing and promotional activity relating to Victoria Centre and the Programme during the 12-month usage period.


9. Data Protection & Privacy

Victoria Centre will process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal information collected may include:

  • Name;
  • Contact information;
  • Educational institution;
  • Social media account details;
  • Application responses;
  • Application videos and uploaded content.

The information will be used to:

  • Administer the Programme;
  • Assess applications;
  • Communicate with applicants;
  • Manage selected Ambassadors;
  • Deliver and promote Programme-related activity.

Data may be shared with appointed marketing agencies, production partners and service providers involved in operating the Programme.


10. Data Retention

  1. Application data relating to unsuccessful applicants will be retained for up to 6 months following the closing date and then securely deleted.
  2. Application videos submitted by unsuccessful applicants may be retained for up to 6 months for administration, audit and dispute resolution purposes.
  3. Data and content relating to successful Ambassadors may be retained for up to 24 months following completion of the Programme.
  4. Final content, footage and campaign assets may additionally be retained beyond this period where required for legal, compliance, archival or evidential purposes.

11. Liability

  1. Victoria Centre accepts no responsibility for incomplete, lost, delayed or inaccessible applications due to technical failures or circumstances beyond its control.
  2. Victoria Centre reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Programme if necessary.
  3. Victoria Centre shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from participation in the Programme.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded.


12. General

  1. Submission of an application constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Victoria Centre reserves the right to verify the eligibility of applicants and request proof of eligibility.
  3. If an applicant fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, Victoria Centre may withdraw any offer of participation.
  4. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Key Content Rights Summary

By applying and, if selected, participating in the Programme, applicants acknowledge and agree that:

  • Victoria Centre may store and review submitted application videos for up to 6 months.
  • Successful Ambassadors transfer ownership of Programme content to Victoria Centre.
  • Victoria Centre may edit, publish, advertise, repurpose and promote the content.
  • Victoria Centre may use the content across all marketing channels for 12 months.
  • Content and footage may be retained beyond the campaign period for legal, compliance, archive and record-keeping purposes.
