JD x The King's Trust Article
On March 8th people all around the globe come together to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. International Women's Day has been celebrated for over 100 years and is there to not only celebrate the past achievements of women, but to also inspire those for the future, to show that anything is possible.
This year JD have partnered with Kings Trust (previously Princes Trust) who aim to tackle the global crisis of youth unemployment. Since 2015 The Kings Trust have worked to 'empower young people to learn, earn and thrive' in 20 different countries. As part of Kings Trust's 'Change A Girls Life' campaign, JD are collecting donations from our customers via the card machines at the point of purchase between March 6th - 12th which will go towards giving young women training courses with potential employers, giving them access to job opportunities or skills to start their own business.
