Clocktower Colouring Competition Winners Article

We have our winners!

To celebrate the 125th anniversary of our iconic Clocktower, we hosted a colouring competition in South Square from 28th to 30th May. We were thrilled to receive an incredible 245 entries, each one full of creativity and colour—making it a real challenge to choose a winner!

The event brought lots of smiles, as families came together to enjoy colouring sessions and play with balloons, creating a fun and memorable atmosphere for all.

The winning entry came from Bravery (age 5, entry pictured below), which was selected by Maria Romanov, corporate fundraiser from our charity of the year, Nottinghamshire Hospice. Maria says "All the drawings were fantastic — such talent and creativity on display! We chose this one because it stood out for its unique, imaginative approach. They added their own creative ideas (like the sun with the glasses!) while highlighting the celebration of 125 years of the Clocktower. Including people in the artwork added a wonderful sense of community and connection, which really resonated with us at Nottinghamshire Hospice."

Winning entry

Runners up include Madeleine (age 11, entry on the right) and Soledad (age 7, entry on the left), who both really wowed us with their creativity and use of the colours provided.

Runners up

The winning entry will be featured on our window next to the Clocktower itself for the rest of the year, come along and see for yourself!
