Talented Artist Molly Moss who captured Pete Dexter's dedication to the Emett Clock Article
We have recently collaborated with Nottingham Trent University's fine art graduate, Molly Moss. The brief was to paint a bespoke acrylic painting capturing Pete Dexter's commitment to maintaining the clock for over 10 years.
The unveiling of this bespoke painting took place on the 1st of March, marking a significant milestone in Pete's remarkable journey with the Emett Clock. Molly spent three weeks painting this and we as Victoria Centre, couldn't be happier with the outcome.
Reflecting on her experience, Molly expressed her delight and excitement in presenting the canvas to Pete, Creating something that was a meaningful tribute to a man whose dedication to our famous landmark, cannot be underplayed.
For Pete, the unveiling of the painting came as a pleasant surprise, leaving him deeply touched by the thoughtful gesture. His reaction echoed the sentiment shared by many who have witnessed his tireless efforts in preserving this beloved Nottingham landmark.
Nigel Wheatley, the director of Victoria Centre, expressed his gratitude to Pete for his invaluable contributions, not only to the Emett Clock but also to the Victoria Centre and the wider Nottingham community. The painting served as a token of appreciation for Pete's years of dedication and service.
